Pincott was quoted as saying the ring road was “all about how do we move the single-occupant car around” and that Calgary is “moving towards public transit oriented development”, something SW Calgary is very much in need of. He further questioned the cost of the ring road, something none of the supposed fiscally conservative city councillors dared to question.
Speaking out against the ring road took courage and Pincott should be applauded for standing up for his beliefs!
We now need to apply pressure to ensure that the Weaselhead will not be paved over in the ring road's plan B.
